We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Support Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, providing timely solutions, and ensuring seamless IT operations for our clients and internal teams. As an IT Support Agent, you will play a critical role in maintaining system reliability and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to clients and team members via phone, email, and chat.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Escalate complex technical problems to higher-level support or specialized teams when necessary.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal uptime.
- Assist in setting up and managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and best practices for future reference.
- Stay updated on the latest IT tools, trends, and technologies.
- Deliver training and guidance to end-users on best practices and system usage.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an IT Support Agent or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with networking protocols, hardware, and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable hardware for remote work.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Familiarity with virtualization tools like VMware or Hyper-V.
